FAQ’s

can I schedule multiple consultations?

Absolutely! In fact, it is totally normal for it to take several weeks for breastfeeding issues to resolve. For this reason, I would suggest planning for several follow ups, either with a lactation consultant or pediatrician, to ensure that breastfeeding is going well and baby is healthy!

What are your credentials?

I am a Registered Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). I specialized in infant feeding and have 4 years of experience as an RN in postpartum, labor and delivery, and lactation consultant settings.

do you offer tele-health consultations?

Absolutely! I always encourage that we schedule our first visit in-person at your house so I can do a thorough assessment of your infant, you, and what breastfeeding looks like for you two. However, I understand that sometimes we need more urgent advice. If you’re unsure or this feels like an emergency, I recommend that you contact your pediatrician immediately or call 911.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, I do! If you have a PPO insurance (Blue Cross PPO, Blue Shield PPO, United Healthcare, Anthem PPO and Cigna PPO plans as well as most plans that utilize MultiPlan and PNOA), I can work with you through The Lactation Network. If you have a HMO or MediCal, I can still work with you! You will receive a super bill at the end of our appointment which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement (check with your insurance provider prior to see what is covered).

What conditions do you work with?

Everyone’s breastfeeding journey looks different, and that’s OK! I work with all different journeys, including pre-mature infants, infants with tongue or lip ties, infants with weight loss or jaundice, low birth weight infants, mothers experiencing plugged ducts or mastitis, and more!

do you offer prenatal consultations?

Absolutely! There is no wrong time to start learning about breastfeeding, and preparation can be helpful in getting you and baby off on the right foot! When submitting your contact form, let me know that you are interested in prenatal consultations. I also have several group classes that I will be offering to prepare mamas and their teammates prenatally for when your little one is born.
